Get to Know Mikala:
Three words I would use to describe myself are that I am friendly, adventurous, and creative. I wanted to become a Cub Dancer because not only did I want to find a way to keep dancing after high school, I also wanted to become part of the MRU community and make my school feel more like home. I started dance when I was three and quickly fell in love with it. Since then, I have danced competitively with various studios and am now part of the Cubs Team and a Hip Hop group. My favorite part about Cougars game day is performing during half time and pumping up the audience!
I’m a second-year psychology student, and find my Abnormal Behaviour course incredibly interesting. Ultimately, my career aspirations are to keep on dancing and become a therapist
